When we met I carried a torch for you
and you loved to bathe in its warmth
You absorbed more and more of my heat,
still it was me who got caught in the fire.
While I burned to the ground
you walked through the ashes
fueling the remains with your words.
When i arose anew i still carried a torch,
even though i was in the freezing cold.
I carried a torch,
then a pillar candle,
then a tea light…..
And now i finally blew out the flickering match
