Writing courses teach you
that every good book starts
In midst of the action

So its no surprise
we had no prologue.

Two characters met and soon
the pages were filled with your name,
as you became a protagonist

Spoiler alert:
that is not you who you stayed.

Lets turn the pages forward to a scene set in the sun:
A day filled with wine, laughter and joy
Who could have known that there would be no others?

You left our story the same way it started
Straight away, without warning or an explanation,
leaving question marks where your name had been before

And although you still try very hard
I will not grant you the part of a villian,
as you act more like a fool.

Our chapter is closed,
our story lines separate.

And whereas I am no longer up for a sequel,
I still like us to write an epilogue one day.
